Well, I survived the hurricane.
Actually, it never got to hurricane status where I am. But it was a heckuva tropical storm over here in southeast Georgia.
Lost power, but Georgia Power had it back within 10 hours, which isn’t bad, considering what they had to go through. 92% of the county lost power. Some areas are still without power here, but mine is back.

Excellent plan. I recommend that, going forward, all academic treatises be written solely in emojis.

Democrat Senator Chuck Schumer has threatened to add limited amnesty for illegal immigrants (the DREAM Act) to every bill until it finally passes.
That’s a great idea. And Republicans should match him every time with Obamacare repeal.
The Southern Poverty Law Center has been criticized for giving churches and conservative non-profits the same “hate group” label they give the KKK.
Weird. Like lumping hangnails and heart attacks together because they both start with “h”.
One of my favorite paintings before 9/11 was this:
“A young architect looks at his rendering for a building of his design being constructed in the background. Completed in July of 2001, this painting was not in any way inspired or influenced by the events of September 11th, 2001. The twin towers of the World Trade Center were included for their graceful beauty and their immediate recognizability which provides context for the height of the new building under construction.”
After 9/11, I liked it even more for the hope it represented.
Now that the Freedom Tower is done, I feel like, in a way, that hope is realized.
