On last Sundays open thread DonP posted info I had long been seeking. He let me know the name of a movie about Georges Melies called Hugo. I knew there was a movie about this film pioneer but I did not know the name of the movie or it’s director (Martin Scorsese) or it’s actors. Thanks to the info provided by DonP I have finally caught up with this flick and enjoyed every minute of it. Thanks DonP. ~ zzyzx
David Packard was born September 7, 1912. He and William Hewlett, with whom he founded Hewlett-Packard, were not only good engineers and businessmen, but also fine, generous people, whose treatment of their employees and charitable giving throughout northern California set an example that today’s executives in Silicon Valley would do well to follow.
