Things are looking pretty desperate for Democrats and liberals. And when things get desperate for liberals, they tend not to rise to the occasion but instead fall back on their defaults which is impotent screaming and sneering which of course only repels people all the more. Much of politics for liberals is learning to hold back these natural impulses. That’s how Obama got elected; people were tired of the divide during Bush and thought he’d be a nice person to elect. Still, even with all the care, Obama’s mask slipped a couple of times such as the “bitter clinging” speech to donors. And now we’re all pretty clear Obama holds most of America in sneering contempt despite — like many liberals — never having actually done anything useful his entire life.
So, anyway, though some of the more mature politically minded will try to stop it, except the wheels to really start coming off the bus as we get even closer to election day. In anger and frustration, the liberals will be reduced to incoherent shrieking only making everyone get even more fed up with them and glad to be rid of them politically. So while polls look good for Republicans now, I predict it’s only going to get better from here on out.
In fairness, I don’t think Obama will do any screeching to help libs cling to power. At least he won’t for a bit because he’ll be on vacation(s) until the end of September or maybe mid-October if golf weather holds up. After this, he’ll saunter back into DC and say, “What up, dudes?” and put his feet up on the desk in the Oval Office (again). At this point, a bunch of angry Dems will probably inform him that it’s almost election time and look to his Highness Supreme Obama for guidance. I live near DC… I figure I’ll know Pelosi’s PO’d and screaming when the glass starts breaking in buildings in the surrounding metro area.
In addition to screaming & sneering, dems have turned clumsy & and stupid.
For example – Harry Reid was bad mouthing Republicans for supporting a measure identical to one he introduced to a legislative committee himself – or candidates laughing at the WWE where Obama & Hilary themselves appeared in 2008.
They’ve gone into full Wile E. Coyote mode – telling themselves how clever they are while sawing off the tree limb they are sitting on.
Reality is that since Carter each and every leftist has been free to create their own their imaginary idea of what liberalism was and how it would all work in their head. They then spent all those years convincing each other that their ideas were super smart and if they just got a chance to try them they would all work super awesomely. Fortunately for us basically all of these separate ideas either directly conflicted or combined simply cost more several times more money then was available. What they are doing now is hitting the wall of reality that their fantasies were all bullcrap that anyone with a life experience of responsibility and at least knee deep in reality would have perceived from a mile away:
* like closing gitmo and de-arming Iran through apologizing and negotiating
* you could afford to buy off illegals, inner city minorities, unions, students, etc… all at the same time
* their politicians once in office with power and money would work “for the people”
* that you could declare war on unfavored business’s without destroying too many jobs and bankrupting government
Etc.. Etc.. Most conservatives I knew even during the Bush years saw how much of what the left was screeching for was nonsense or foolish Utopians. The dangerous part about Utopians is the reliable history that once their dreams crash they go on the way path to punish someone rather then admit their dreams were nonsense. How do you think Marxism has survived all this time in spite of everyone who has embraced it ended up in starvation levels of poverty and genocide that cant be rounded in the millions?
-Lesson learned is when groups like Jews and Arabs largely vote for the same guy a bunch of people are about to be betrayed.

All of this reminds me of the genius of Otto von Bismarck. How, you may ask? Well, the rest of Europe considered Otto some dumb country bumpkin. Unfortunately for the European elite, he took their lunch, dinner and breakfast every time he sat down to negotiate with their smug faces. Reagan sometimes worked from the same strength of being underestimated by his enemies. Lesson: it’s better if your enemies think you’re stupid.
On being underestimated by your enemies: this has always worked advantageously for me. The surprised, shocked expressions are priceless.
With regard to the above t-shirt link, it has been said that religion is the last refuge of the scoundrel (Lisa Simpson, I believe), but for those whom even the Unitarians would consign to hell, nothing beats a good old ad hominem attack.
Common sense tell you that liberals would be running off potential voters but never underestimate the publics willingness to be screwed. Here in the heartland state in which I pay taxes they elected just about the only member of the delegation who said and did nothing while the Air Force was giving it’s contracts away to a certain European company. Yes I know they have some facilities here but when you’re awarding government contracts you don’t get to change the playing field in the middle of the game, which is exactly what they did. The European company couldn’t compete with the original design so they got someone in the government to change the plans.
Said congressman said nothing, sided with the Air Force and the Obama administration and the real conservative congressman who fought for the jobs of the SEIU thuggies, guess what he got? Fired. That’s what he got. For all his effort to get and keep jobs local they tossed him out and now the RINO will go up against the Lib. I’m pretty sure I’m not going to vote for either moron (ironic the the RINO’s name is so close to that word. Just one letter and you’ve described him to a tee). I’m seriously considering a write in candidate. Mickey Mouse, Goofy, or perhaps Scooby dooby do and his best friend Shaggy.
They can’t be any worse than what we have and what awaits us in Nov. Sigh.

OH – oh no…. his contempt is not DESPITE never having done anything useful; it’s BECAUSE of it. Those who refuse to bend the knee to narcissists and control freaks, who are too busy enjoying life and striving for accomplishment, are a slap in the face to the willfully idle. Remember, he won. Who’s enjoying life and accomplishing things now? The O, that’s who – and in such a way that intentionally makes it harder for such intolerable insults to be done to him in the future. He will set that against all his injuries and go away satisfied.
