The only good thing about Obama is that someday they will make his birthday a national holiday, at which point Americans will finally, FINALLY have that day off in August they’ve been dreaming of for so long.

IMAO Podcast Reruns (7-18-05)
Episode 8, from 7-18-05 is now available.
Comments: I think this is the episode where I finally splurged and bought the $200 audio setup that then-producer Scott insisted we should all buy. Or maybe it’s when I started covering my head with a sheet while I was recording. Or maybe it’s when I started wrapping the mike with a piece of cloth as a poor man’s pop-filter.
Regardless, I think the audio on the Fun Facts is a lot better than in previous episodes.
Also, as I’m re-experiencing these podcasts, I’m finding that despite the humor being topical at times, it’s still holding up VERY well after five years. Even if you don’t remember the events in question, the crew always does a great job of setting up the jokes so that you can “get” the punchlines.
And coincidentally, with the Kagan nomination in the works, this episode is actually timely.
Anyway, for the curious, I wrote a post on the whole podcasting experience back in 2007, including a picture of my “recording studio”. It’s like an episode of “Behind the Music“, except VH1 doesn’t get any royalties.

Correct Me If I’m Wrong
The government doesn’t get enough money to cover expenses, so Obama wants to jack up the tax rates to increase revenue.
Didn’t Obama JUST finish demonizing insurance companies for using EXACTLY the same argument to justify raising insurance premiums?
