I worked my way through college in the late 70s. My sons went to Trade School and paid for it themselves. This leads to people like me not wanting free college.
The government should stop the loan system for colleges and trade schools, and have it go back to financing by banks. Banks will only support loans with a credible person and a credible payment result. This will lead to lower college costs as colleges are forced to end useless classes and degrees because they cannot get students.
