How does someone named Doolittle survive in politics? Doesn’t that just give his opponent too much material to work with. And who would want him to co-sponsor a bill? Something called the Boucher-Doolittle bill does not sound like a good bill to me, and doesn’t reflect well on Boucher.
Even better, I read a couple of years ago about a bill cosponsored with Tom (?) DeLay, leading to the ‘unfortunately named’ bill Doolittle-DeLay.
LOL
Actually, we’d be so much better off if every legislator was a “Doolittle.”
How does anyone survive in politics with a name like Kohl (D-WI)? How can he propose legislation knowing it will be called Kohl’s Law?
I would guess John Doolittle in particular is given a boost by being the son of Jimmy Doolitle, the man who led the first bombing raid on Japan after Pearl Harbor.
Why did you have to ruin our mindless fun by bringing up relevant facts?
Cause I’m a pedant, and that’s how I have my mindless fun. 🙂
Doolittle’s not such a bad name. I’m the Congressman’s seventh cousin twice removed. He’s NOT Jimmy Doolittle’s son. The General is my ninth cousin thrice removed and is from the opposite side of the family.
