After reading Peggy’s article in the WSJ, I’m not at all convinced that she’s “standard conservative” as she said she was, like Fred Thomson. Her writing smacks of a Molly Ivins-like attempt at wit, and the temple garments remark shows me that she leans more than a little left of center.
I’m not a big supporter of the mormon faith and don’t buy that it’s just an off-shoot of Christianity…but…making fun of them is NOT acceptable at any level! These are good decent people that aren’t bothering anyone and in America one is free to practice one’s religion of choice period! This nonsense from both the left and right has to stop and the charge will not be led by liberals!
I don’t include Islam in my previous comments, by the way! The followers of this religion have proven that they are corrupt and evil! Even the so called “moderates” won’t speak up and support peace. I’ve had it with these pricks! How do you tell a moderate Islamic? He’s out of explosives & ammunition!

It always amazes me how the left is tolerant of others and tells us not to harass people based on religion. I guess we aren’t allowed to pick on their special interest groups only. Minority off limits, Caucasian fair game, Muslims can’t discriminate, Mormons no problem they are punching bags like Bush.
Don’t be surprised if Ron Paul “somehow” wins this poll.
I’m Mormon and I’m wearing my garments, and I thought it was funny in a dick-joke kind of way. Of course I also make tie-dyed underwear for my kids, so I’m a little less embarrassed about underwear than the average person.
BTW the men’s garment bottoms do come in a choice of boxer style or brief style.
