Oh Yeaaaaahhh!! I remember seeing this way back in grade school (dating myself now) and being partly creeped out, partly fascinated by it. I think the projector broke down before we reached the gripping climax. It’s like a bad version of Twilight Zone meets safety training films for Ritalin swilling brats. Someone deserved jail time for producing this.
I’m betting that this could be applied as an analogy to voting in America:
* Find a way to hold on to you own damn stuff
* Learn what the f**k you’re doing out there
* Do your part to keep things working correctly
OR
* Just stay home & shut the hell up
Also, get some better looking friends…
Damn dirty apes.
This was the voice of “Fractured Fairy Tales.”
Can you imagine anyone with the vocal mannerisms and film history of Edward Everett Horton being allowed near children today? Not counting Fred Rogers, that is.
I actually DID think it would be about voting in the end. I mean obviously its a DMV film but I expected there would be a voting analogy in the end…….I was overprojecting a bit in my “twists”. Personally I find it enjoyable in a perverse way. Does anyone think that the narrator’s voice is dripping sarcasm half the time? Like “so and so….is no longer bored.” I don’t think it was MEANT to be comedic, but in today’s culture it actually comes across as brilliantly understated (the unintentional humor, not the sledgehammer condescension of the message). Also, I”m ashamed to admit I kind of like the musical score. that could be dubbed over SO many other things for humorous effect. Admit it, it does kind of sound like “bike” music. So….yeah….I kind of enjoyed it, it really messed up way.
Why? Why does the child play with monkeys? Doesn’t he know they plan to kill him and eat him with those bag lunches?
Who is Mike Honcho? Another alter-ego of Frank? And does he want me to laugh, cry, or be scared?
What a twist at the end. Whoever made this is a regular M. Night Shyamalan.
/No Sarc.
#2 My bet is that Cadet Happy decided to change his name again.

Uh. Ok, let me get this straight. This is about being careful, right?

I can’t believe I watched that whole thing. I want the last 15 minutes of my life back!

Darwinism at it’s very best…..
