I’m starting to get a little worried about the squishes. Ever since Tea Parties started, the squishes in the Republican Party have had all these paranoid fantasies about them. And then there are people like David Brooks rating about how Bob Bennett not getting reelected is a “damn outrage” and screeds over at FrumForum about how the squishes needs to seize the Republican Party from the right. The squishes just seem to be becoming increasingly shrill and desperate, and I’m starting to wonder if the next stage is squish violence. Any day now, squishes could start ambushing the right in violent attacks, whacking them with nerf bats. That’s probably marginally more annoying than hearing them talk.
It’s time to confront these squishes before their unhinged, unprincipled ways infect the GOP. They keep talking about purging the Republican Party of the right, and that is just political suicide. We have to tell them, “You guys are acting irrationally, and we are not going to listen to you — even more so than usual.” We have to stop the squishes to keep the Republican Party an open tent — one where even squishes can call home as long as they never ever talk.

I say to hell with the squishes. They are the reason the Republican Party got its brakes beat off the last two election cycles. If they are feeling a little squeamish about the Parties return to its principles perhaps they could form their own party. Maybe something like Obama-Lite or Republicrats.

We got rid of Bob Bennett , one of the squishiest of the Squishes, here in Utah over a week ago and there is still a major story in the Salt Lake Tribune (a rather liberal newspaper) every day about it. Now, they’re screaming and yelling about the demise in 2012 of Stormin’ Orrin’ Hatch and telling him he had better start throwing some red meat to the conservatives like asking for a ban on travel to California or requiring all children be taught to use a 30 caliber machine gun in PE class.
I seriously doubt it will work, though. Hatch would be a major upgrade in conservatism from either of the Morons from Maine but his schtick has gotten really, really old here in the red states.
AD Tom Corbett, a Republican, is running for Governor here in Pennsylvania. I just saw one of his ads on this very website.

Hope? What the heck is this crap? Hope is for pansies and liars. Republicans don’t run on hope especially when Corbett will have to fight through the legislature so the commonwealth doesn’t go totally bankrupt. We may as well get it over with and make Rendell governor again so he can get speeding tickets with his fancy, fast limo. I know the fine collectors would have their hopes raised for this prospect.

I think the best way to deal with squishes is to squish them. I bet steam roller ought to do nicely. I wonder if they make a “squish” sound when the steam roller “squishes” them. Or feed them to a pack of angry Great White sharks, either will do nicely.
Why would they want to purge the GOP of the Right? Just become a Democrat and leave us the hell alone!
