QOTW: If there’s a rock ‘n roll heaven.

I’ve seen a lot of concerts over the last 45 years, and I have the concert t-shirts to prove it! But I got to thinking that there are a lot of bands I never had the chance to see and as the years go by I know I never will.

The question for everyone is, if you could see one singer or band that you never have seen who would it be?

I know mine would be the Beatles.

  1. My great great great great grandson’s garage band?

Oh, so many to choose from.

    Elton John, pre-Captain Fantastic era.

    Sister Rosetta Tharpe.

Talking Heads. Watching “Stop Making Sense” makes me regret not seeing them back in the day.

Yes, when Steve Howe and Rick Wakeman were together.

  2. BTW: there’s an interesting book titled “Rock and Roll Heaven” by Nikki Corvette. It’s all about dead R&R performers and is organised by cause of death. The title of each chapter references the CoD for those within – for example the chapter about those who died in car wrecks is titled “I Can’t Drive 55”. The chapter on those who died of drug overdoses is titled “The Longest Chapter”.

  3. Beatles
    Bill Haley and the Comets
    Whoopee John
    Mozart on the piano
    Bach on the organ

and, I have to whole-heartedly agree with a couple already mentioned: Sister Rosetta Tharpe and Jimi Hendrix.

p.s. Love the Beatles; love “Let It Be”; ironically, John Lennon didn’t care for it at all. It was McCartney’s baby.
