According to my “Ductagami” book, the Grip, Rip, and Flip method can create strips of duct tape without an adhesive side. Granted it doubles the amount of duct tape required. However it would greatly increase the comfort level of this particular task.
Another bonus is that you can create different shapes of necessary “paper”.

There was big, big doings up at the lodge today when we ran out of toilet paper and Harold found a substitute.
Well … OK … So ya found ONE thing that Duct Tape can’t do. So what?
Actually the one thing duct tape can’t do is seal ducts.
