Tuesday Night Open Thread

Some songs are just plain huge. In the summer of 1945, four different versions of “On the Atchison, Topeka and the Santa Fe” hit the Billboard top ten. Bing Crosby, Tommy Dorsey, and Judy Garland all went top ten with the song, but it was Johnny Mercer, who co-wrote the song, that took it to Number One in July 1945, where it spent seven weeks in the top spot.

Beautiful memes. Perfect memes. You’re not going to believe — nobody has ever seen a site so yuge. I just don’t feel right poaching their stuff.

But Slapout . . . I don’t have a clue where he gets his stuff. Surfing? Don’t know. I don’t see it elsewhere.

If I find it’s all from one site, I’ll let you know its address, and have them get all the traffic they deserve.
