Welcome my friends to the new music trivia night. Without further ado I will let our Head of Personnel take center stage. Take it away Salma.

“Thanks Mr. Walrus, I hope the new interns are proving helpful. Last week saw our inaugural trivia night and we had our first winner. Let us give a cheer or two for Les who, despite having to Google it, did guess the trivia question. Well done Les. I have the great honor to present the first “Midnight Special Large Guitar” award to you. I hope you have a big… mantle.”

“Now let us have Mr. Walrus start tonight’s contest. Best of luck to all!”
Thanks Salma, both the intro and the interns were great.
The music.

The Sound of Silence…
Boy, did that take a long time to load…
Sorry to hear that, especially since we have only 10 songs to hear.
Thank yew, thank yew. You know what they say, big guitar…big mantel.
This’n is difficult. Don’t know if it’ll hit me later. Offhand, it appears that all are existential, allegorical “story” songs, but I’m probably overthinking it. Oh well.
Are you committing to this or your other answer?
All have some variation of the word “lonely” or “loneliness” in the lyrics?
Is it specifically “lone”? “Turn the Page” has “lonesome.”
Fun Fact #1) Salma Hayek is the great-granddaughter of Austrian economist Friedrich August von Hayek, and today is a leading proponent of his defense of freedom based on libertarian principles, as espoused in his book “The Road to Serfdom.”
Fun Fact #2) Not all Fun Facts are true. Epstein, however, didn’t kill himself.
I humbly request a recap of last week’s answer in these posts. That is all, and thank you.
Did I forget that?
All the songs last week have at least 10 other songs with the same title by different artists which are not covers.
Does anybody else find it amusing to see Linda Ronstadt doing a cover version of her back-up band’s song?
With the exceptions of “Desperado” and “Turn the Page,” I’d say they’re all songs with rather dreary themes/lyrics, but with a relatively fast tempo. But I can’t say that, so just get rid of those two songs, okay?
I know this is last minute, but just to make a guess, I’m going to go the Cliff Claven route and say that these are all songs produced by somebody who has never been to my house.
It is too late and no.
