Thou shall not discuss the fact that Cindy Sheehan’s account of her meeting with the President has changed to fit the needs of her propagandist publicity campaign.
Thou shall not discuss the family members who are disgusted with Cindy Sheehan’s actions.
Thou shall not discuss the fact that Cindy Sheehan’s son supported the war in Iraq and believed in what he was doing there.
Thou shall not discuss the private interest groups funding Cindy Sheehan’s publicity stunt.
Thou shall not discuss Cindy Sheehan’s call to bring all troops home and essentially surrender to the terrorists.
Thou shall not discuss why the leader of the free world should meet with a publicity hungry media hound.
Thou shall not discuss the hundreds of parents of killed soldiers who support President Bush and the mission in Iraq.
NOTE–This post is not intended to mock a grieving mother or to minimize the sacrifice of her son. It is to point out the ridiculously reverent tone that the MSM has taken in covering the Sheehan publicity stunt, and to shed light on what should be pretty obvious questions regarding her motives and veracity.

Cleveland was recently ranked by someone as the 11th most liberal city in America, and we have had quite a few Marine funerals here in the last week. The response of our community has been admirable. People have been lining the streets to pay last respects in some cases, but every single one of these brave young men were hailed as heroes.
Thou shalt not suggest that the mentally ill should get treatment and therapy instead of pointers from Michael Moore on how to prolong their illness for attention and profit.
Thou Shall not discuss the potential profit that St. Cindy will make after writing a book/ filming a made for TV movie or a Michael Moore Style Documentary.

I have often heard “conservatives” make pronouncements about the jeering and spitting that greated returning US troops from Viet Nam. I have rarely heard a “conservative” express any regret whatsoever over how those same troops were treated if they joined any of the veterans groups against the war — and I’m not talking about spit, I’m talking about false arrest and arranging for them to be fired from jobs, just to begin with. I put the word in quotes because a true conservative is a little more even handed, having heard in childhood phrases about “do unto others” and “sauce for the goose” and “whose ox is being gored.” I think there were a few “thou shalt nots” in there too . . . hmmm . . . maybe something about honoring thy parents ? Maybe even something about “false witness” . . .
I see the war mob hasn’t changed.
As for anti-semetism, I don’t know what Sheehan has said, but I do know that some cult-like Christians and Jews believe that the United States is only allowed to be the biggest power in the world because we protect Israel, which they identify with the biblical Israel. I know that Israeli sympathizers, some Jewish, have been recently accused of passing sensitive information from the Department of Defense to pro-Israeli lobbying groups, and that this is consistent with a fairly lengthly history of Israeli “patriots” who take oaths to be American “patriots” and then (perhaps because they believe America’s purpose is to support Israel) pass classified information to Israel. Some Jews and Christians in the Defense Department simply don’t really see Israel as a separate country, and it doesn’t occur to them that it is a betrayal.
The fact is, the Jewish and Christian fanatics don’t see anything wrong with saying they are fighting a war for liberty, justice, terrorism, oil, or some other false reason, when in reality they are fighting a war for a cultish religious belief. Fraud in the name of religion is usually considered justified by those doing it. And these people see nothing wrong in using “false witness” to convince others to support their religous wars.
It is a fair question to ask: “Why are we carrying out a war against Israel’s strongest potential enemy while Osama bin Laden runs free thousands of miles away?”
The Ten Commandments are God’s Direct Word to us, and the fact he choose a small wandering tribe of ex-slaves to be the ones to spread it and the derived legal and ethical systems to the world is the basis of the view of the Hebrews as special people. I think to make parody of the commandments to help with a bit of character assassination in support of a pack of theives is REALLY anti-semetic, but as a real conservative my views are usually considered pretty weird.
The reason you cheerleaders ought to be worried about Jewish religous motivations entering the mainstream discussion is not the threat to the Jews — they are mostly educated atheists who hate W anyway — it is because the question will inevitably broaden to consider Christian religous motives as well.
nothing I like to read more than long pronouncements starting off with “As for anti-semetism, I don’t know what Sheehan has said,” …. yep, just gives you a good feeling knowing that they’re going to speak from KNOWLEDGE.
