Got another Disney World trip coming up in a few weeks. Might be my last one for a while. Or not.
I wrote about that over at my little blog.
While I’m pondering that, it’s time for you to share what you’ve been pondering. Or doing. Or just share a joke, a link, or whatever. It’s Monday Night Open Thread.
Who wants to start?

A blind man is marooned on a deserted island, no phone. He has a little bottle with 4 pills in it all the exact same size and weight. 2 are red and 2 are blue. He MUST take 1 red and 1 blue one or he will die. How does he do it?
He does it very carefully.
Is he white? Then he should just die for the good of society.
I need to ponder that one. If he simply took two pills, there’s a 2/3 chance he’ll take one of each and live, meaning a 1 in 3 chance he’ll take two of the same and die. Not bad odds, but I wouldn’t want to bet my life on it.
There has to be a simple, but brilliant, answer.
He could just take 3 pills if
(a) there’s no downside to taking an extra of one type of pill, and
(b) this is a one-time incident, and he doesn’t have to take the two different pills again in the future.
Got it. He could take a pill by biting it in half. Doing this for each pill means he takes the equivalent of one blue and one red.
Of course, this only works in the scenario laid out where there are twice as many of each as he needs. But, it does work in this scenario.
Pondering? I thought only the Brain pondered…

lolololol’s for everyone.
My laptop has been running slow for a while. It came with Win7 when I bout it 3 years ago and I upgraded to 10 when that came around. So I finally jumped in with both feet and wiped the disk and re-installed Win10. I have a cloud drive where I do my backups so that was really no issue, but I never tested the WD restore function before. The whole experience turned out to be easier than I thought it was going to be.
One thing I did not like is that when I used the Win10 recover disc I created, it turned it back into the Toshiba laptop it was when I bought it, but only it was Win10 now. The biggest pain in the rear was getting rid of the Toshiba and 3rd party bloatware.
But it is nice having a peppy laptop back.
We took the kids to Disney World in 2010. We stayed for a week had a great time and even took an afternoon to go see a spring training baseball game. Despite some little kid tantrums it was a great family vacation. We even had some of the tickets paid for due to rewards from work for meeting annual goals.
It was still expensive as all get-out.
I told the kids they’d get to go to Disney World twice. Once when we brought them and once when they take their kids.
