The Illustrated Blarg: Necessary and Proper

Per Blarg:

To improve the Constitution, add the phrase “That means you too, California and New York” where appropriate.

That means you too, California and New York!

And this means you too, California and New York!

This also means you too, California and New York!

This means you too, California and New York!

That means you too, California and New York!

  1. You can’t stop us! We’ve already poisoned the states bordering us. We’re like the Corona virus but worse as far as infecting our neighbors goes! We’ve even reached out and infected Virginia…and your state is next!! Signed, California & New York

  2. It also means the US Government, but they’ve been ignoring it and exceeding their authorized powers for decades. For instance, what part of the US Constitution is CLAIMED bu feds to authorize minimum wage, food, and drug regulations? The interstate commerce clause, which only empowers the federal government to regulate items AS THEY CROSS STATE BORDERS. No state can put a tax on something/someone for entering or leaving it, only the FED can. No state can forbid something/someone from entering/leaving it, only the FED can. But a job that is only within a single state, or products that never cross a state border, are not within the fed’s authority to regulate. But they’ve been illegally doing so for decades.

If Trump can get enough originalists in the courts, we might be able to reverse that.
