Obama destroying our health care is starting to make sense now that I found out his next book will be titled “To Serve Man.”

I’d Contest that William F Buckley was the true conservative. I even have a couple qualms with President Reagan (Though far fewer than ANY of his peers, admittedly.)

The Gates incident may be a valuable learning experience for all involved. Professor Gates has (hopefully) learned a valuable lesson….never bad mouth the cops in public. The Prez has (hopefully) learned a valuable lesson….never comment on situations without having all the facts….that’s Joe the Vice-President’s department. The Cambridge Police Dept. has (hopefully) also learned a valuable lesson….the next time there’s a reported problem at the professor’s house, make sure you arrive on the scene at least two or three hours after the report is made.

Funny but true story: When my dad was doing his medical internship in those pre-Viagra days, a man came into the hospital complaining of what today we’d call “ED”. After examining him and taking his history, my dad came to the conclusion that the problem was psychological. Now the hospital pharmacy had placebo pills that doctors could prescribe under the name “Obecalp” (“placebo” spelled backward). So my dad prescribed the man some Obecalp but warned him ominously that he was only to take ONE pill at a time because they were so potent.
Well, a while later he ran into the guy again and asked him how the treatment was going. “Those pills worked, and I want some more!” the man said. “But here’s the thing– I had to take two to get it to work.”
Double strength placebos really do work where single strength placebos fail!

The true test of being a true conservative is muzzle size. .45 true conservative, .40 conservative almost all the time, 9mm moderate republican, .380 blue dog democrat, .32 closeted liberal, .25 what are you gay or something? .22 commie pinko who shouldn’t be allowed near children. Then there is the .17 but only hippies carry that.
