Links of the Day

I always hear moonbats – usually in defense of Clinton’s missed opportunities – going on about how President Bush missed his chance to get Osama bin Laden in Tora Bora, and the concept just sounded moronic on the surface. Really, if there was an easy opportunity to get Osama during the time he was the most hated person in the world, would President Bush really go, “Eh. We’ll get him later.”? Uncle Jimbo of Blackfive looks into the facts about Tora Bora.
Would the Democrats winning the House this coming election be the best thing for the country and the GOP? Ilya Somin of the Volokh conspiracy discusses.
The Rightroots candidates, 16 running for the House and 5 for the Senate, having gotten a number of donations now through this blogburst, but still have a ways to go to get 100 donations for each one (see statistics and donate here). I like the idea of candidates we can root for, but the only one of the 21 who has surpassed 100 donations so far is definitely getting that support because of who she is running against. I would just like to remind people that I helped campaign against Murtha, telling people he wasn’t a friend of the military, back in 1998 before it was the cool thing to do.

  1. So you figured out about Murtha long ago? He wasn’t even on my radar screen. Good on ya!
So he’s a decorated veteran of…I’m guessing Army? Sorry, I didn’t look it up.
Most of the officers I deal with are honest to G-d good, decent, intelligent, hard working folks…but I’m lucky, ’cause Navy officers are for the most part cool.
In other words, they wouldn’t sell us out.
    More coherent rantings to follow

  2. I agree 100% that the Republicans need to be seriously spanked and if turning over the House to Pelosi is the answer than I am going to vote for democRATic house candidates this fall! It’s too bad we can’t biatch slap the Senate too but that would be going too far and giving the RATS way too much power…something they don’t deserve…EVER!

  3. Many republicans need a good bitch slap. However, I am afraid to give the ‘rats any more representation than they have now. I am afraid that McCain will end up running as an independent since he will never get nominated by the Repubs, and thus allow Shrillary to get elected. Then this country will be pulverized by terrorists. And she is a doo doo head.

  4. I am a lifelong Republican and I have voted for them every year of my life, but this administruation has made me ashamed of my Nazi heritagem by not sending the dessenters to reeducation camps and now I embrace Demslam as my faith and I will be voteing straight appeasement ticket this November.
