[High Praise! to Jimmy]
Some light reading for your Saturday. Michelle Obama’s 1985 senior thesis:
Princeton-Educated Blacks and the Black Community (pdf)
It’s not so much interesting as it is revealing. While you’re reading (or, more likely, skimming to find a paragraph without the word “Black” in it), ask yourself, “what kind of person would you have to be to write over 60 pages of emotion-focussed, self-indulgent, race-centered twaddle?”
Also “who hands in their diary and calls it a thesis?”
However, if you only have time to look at a single picture, you could always try The Looking Spoon:
A Deep Thought On The Second Amendment For Liberals To Ponder

The most aggravating part of her thesis was the capitalization of black and white. They’re not black students. They’re Black students. Proper nouns lend themselves more easily to race warfare and bigotry.
Also, with Obamas internet campaign featuring her face so prominently its obvious he’s trying to get pitty votes.
For the record, the hyphenated “thank-you” is a noun or adjective, e.g. “I sent him a thank-you note.” If you are thanking someone, then the correct expression is “thank you” e.g. “Thank you, Frank, for making my eyes bleed by offering up this drivel.”
And that’s just on the first two pages (Dedication and Acknowledgment). I haven’t even started reading the thing yet.
Great Caesar’s bleeding eyeballs. Only on page 5 and already I’m alternating between open-mouthed astonishment and incandescent rage.
A sample: “…it is conceivable that my four years [sic] exposure to a White Ivy League university [Princeton] has instilled within me certain conservative values.”
Yep; Princeton: that hotbed of conservatism and Rush Limbaugh Republicans. Which begs the question: how left-wing radical does one have to be to think that Princeton is a conservative establishment? (Answer: as left-wing as Michelle LaVaughn Robinson Obama.)
Perhaps I should quit now…
read one page…I think I’m a racist now
I read more of it than I want to admit, Ed.
A lot of people at Princeton must be doing private face palms by now. What an embarrassment.
This reminds me of an article that proved the Obamas are illiterates who rode the affirmative action, fire-me-and-I’ll-sue train to success.

About three years ago I’d heard about some of the contents that senior thesis. My recurring response to her manufactured popularity has been, “No, Michelle. we still don’t have to like you now.”
Well, now we know why they went to such lengths to keep this hidden.
Who capitalizes nouns like that? Is she a German speaker?
I gotta admire her absolutely shameless attempt to kiss up to her (Black) profs. Says Michelle, “I’ll write a thesis about whether my professors’ wittle feewings are hurt.”
Speaking of zee Germans, my college senior thesis was about how post-war German historians were influenced by the need to explain Hitler as either an aberation or the the culmination of German history since Kant. The thesis touched upon how historical approaches would affect different groups of Germans regarding nation building in addtion to analysis of how historians judge historical characters.
Then again, I didn’t go to Princeton, nor to a different Ivy League school, nor to a college you’ve likely heard of.
I skimmed and skipped through the “Thesis”, but have concluded that “People” are more comfortable in comfortable/familiar surroundings. I feel so enlightened.
