The one thing the left hates more than anything is human nature itself. It doesn’t fit their models for an utopian society. Their goal is control. They want to run the world like SimCity, and to the inferno with your personal goals, wishes, or wants. Statistics don’t complain, and neither should you. If you would just cooperate, they could form the utopian society they envisioned in their college paper.

one of the best internet pie fights i ever got in to was with a lib over what was the central lie of socialism. this lie colors all leftist thought no matter what that leftist might call themselves that week. the lie is that human nature can be changed through legislation, as in the idea of the soviet “new man”, and that everyone will be forced to be exactly equal, however that might be defined.
It is Human Nature that is the basis for Conservative thought. The recognition that everyone is different, with different goals and means to achieving them. This is the Realism that Lefties hate. They want a “one size fits all” government and regulations. There will always be exceptions, and the Lefties don’t want to admit it.
I don’t remember what had me hot under the collar when I wrote that piece. Probably saw Obama’s lips moving or something.
