Killer Gun Rampage… Kinda Boring, Actually

[High Praise! to Les of Nuking Politics and IJR]

Today I swung my front door wide open and placed my Stevens 320 right in the doorway. I gave it 6 shells, and noticing that it had no legs, even placed it in my wheelchair to help it get around. I then left it alone and went about my business…

While I was gone, the mailman delivered my mail, the neighbor boy across the street mowed the yard, a girl walked her dog down the street, and quite a few cars stopped at the stop sign right in front of our house. After about an hour, I checked on the gun. It was still sitting there in the wheelchair, right where I had left it.

It hadn’t rolled itself outside. It certainly hadn’t killed anyone, even with the numerous opportunities it had been presented to do so. In fact, it hadn’t even loaded itself. Well you can imagine my surprise, with all the media hype about how dangerous guns are and how they kill people. Either the media is wrong, and it’s the misuse of guns by PEOPLE that kills people, or I’m in possession of the laziest gun in the world. Alright, well I’m off to check on my spoons. I hear they’re making people fat.

Local Crime Story

Mollie Hemingway finally got a reporter to respond to why there is a blackout on the Kermit Gosnell story. She asked the Washington’s Post health policy reporter — who has in the past written multiple stories on Sandra Fluke and Todd Akin — why she hadn’t done any stories on Gosnell, and her response was:

Hi Molly – I cover policy for the Washington Post, not local crime, hence why I wrote about all the policy issues you mention.

So, that’s the best they have. “Local crime story.” Jim Geraghty had a nice riff on this. And that’s why most of the media are just completely ignoring any questions on Gosnell rather than even answer why they’re not reporting on the story as they can’t really come up with a coherent reason beyond “I’m a soulless, partisan hack.”

Random Thoughts: Gosnell and the Media Blackout

Has anyone tried defending the media blackout on Kermit Gosnell, or are they sticking to completely ignoring that?

When do we get the national discussion of how the abortion culture has led to Kermit Gosnell?

Is that it? We don’t care what horrors go on as long as we don’t have to see or hear about them? I’m sure that’s mature and healthy.

Hey, Obama you know what might save one life? Maybe you even just discussing the Kermit Gosnell situation. Not worth it, though, huh?

I think everyone knows really bad stuff goes on in an abortion clinic, but the last thing they want to do is say what they are okay with.

If that means completely ignoring horrific things like screaming babies being killed, that’s just easier in the long run.

There is absolutely nothing to the left that rises over the importance of partisan politics, and that includes infanticide.

What’s their response to a screaming infant being killed? “She should have been killed inside the mother where we couldn’t hear her scream.”

We tried using the “ange” sound in the word “orange” and were all like, “Let’s not do that again!”

So where do I get these “bitcoins”? A warp pipe in Super Mario?

Hey, I’ve passed 13,000 followers on Twitter. That’s only 7,000 from being 80,000 from being 900,000 away from a million!

Grease up your guns to foil gun grabbers. “I can’t get a grip on it! I guess you’ll have to stay armed.”

I guess Hagel is doing an okay job as Secretary of Defense, but someone should tell him that “Korea” is spelled with a K, not a C.

FYI: If you put “Bing” into Bing, it’s not until the 36th page of results that you get something about the guy from Friends.

So is Gosnell basically a serial killer who found a nearly legal way to go about it?
