Mollie Hemingway finally got a reporter to respond to why there is a blackout on the Kermit Gosnell story. She asked the Washington’s Post health policy reporter — who has in the past written multiple stories on Sandra Fluke and Todd Akin — why she hadn’t done any stories on Gosnell, and her response was:
Hi Molly – I cover policy for the Washington Post, not local crime, hence why I wrote about all the policy issues you mention.
So, that’s the best they have. “Local crime story.” Jim Geraghty had a nice riff on this. And that’s why most of the media are just completely ignoring any questions on Gosnell rather than even answer why they’re not reporting on the story as they can’t really come up with a coherent reason beyond “I’m a soulless, partisan hack.”
Wasn’t Sandy Hook just a local crime story? Was Aurora theater shooting a local crime story?
Could we get a clear definition on “non-local crime”?
“Local crime story” – so is our nation’s Capital and that isn’t getting reported either.
Well, it made Buzzfeed today.
And I think I’ve seen vet’s office’s that were better run that how that individual ran his place of business.
Watergate break in – pretty sure that was a local crime.
With the possible exception of 9-11, every murder is a local crime story.
Was Michael Vick local? His crimes were covered by the Washington Pravda.
Gosnell, like so many of the left are the result of a political in vitro fertilization and those are the babies they can’t have aborted even knowing that they all turn out to be monsters if allowed to reach full term.
It’s kind of hard to tell if Gosnell is a mass murderer or a serial killer.
Maybe that’s the reason for the media blackout – they’re still trying to iron out that detail. Because, as we all know, journalists in this country really put in an effort to be completely accurate and honest on the things they write about.
I would charge him as a serial killer and I would include the members of his state and local government as enablers . His establishment hadn’t been inspected in what, 17 years.
