    • Nope. Well, I actually channel surfed across “Repo Man,” I think. Something shiny in the trunk? If so, then yes, I saw about two minutes of it. The others, though, no.

I didn’t mean to give the impression I liked “Liquid Sky.” I rented it on VHS back in the 1980s because someone recommended it as “something you (meaning me) might like.” I still don’t know what it was about. Some screwing and spaceship/hubcaps, if I remember. I suspect being on drugs would have helped.

But, “The Gods Must Be Crazy” was something recommended by a lady friend (no, not anything romantic, just a friend that happened to be female). She had an odd sense of humor. I liked her. Wife liked her (she was friends of us both). And we (me and the friend, not the wife) loved “The Gods Must Be Crazy.” I watched it again over the weekend. And enjoyed it.

  1. I remember seeing blurbs for “The Gods Must be Crazy” in the lists of movies coming to the student union back in the day. I had thought from the cargo cult thing that it was in the South Pacific, not Africa; then again, I’ve never seen it.

  2. I haven’t seen any of those movies, which, I suspect, doesn’t surprise anybody here.

Jaclyn Smith, one of the most beautiful women ever to live (and she has a nice voice, too!), was born October 26, 1945. Hillary Clinton was born October 26, 1947. I’m not sure what conclusion to draw from those facts.
