  1. It’s a little confusing:

    If the website says that the “oldest published instance” of the term was in 1951 in Newsweek,

    yet admits the Seuss book arrived in bookstores the year before and used the term,

    then what exactly is the criterion this website uses for “oldest published instance”?

  2. When his estate donated $100 million to his alma mater, Dartmouth Medical School, it was renamed the Theodore Geisel School of Medicine.

    So there really is a Dr. Seuss Medical School. And I’ve been there a few times, and even been treated by at least one student.
