  1. One of the best examples I can think of to demonstrate how unnecessary government often can be is a four-way intersection with stop signs rather than traffic lights. Human nature being what it is (greedy, selfish, self-centered, impulsive, etc.) you would expect chaos at an intersection like that. Yet, people weigh their self-interest of needing to get wherever it is they’re going as quickly as possible against their safety, the safety of others, and common courtesy towards others. Somehow, with minimal fender benders, they work it out.

Would a traffic light make it more convenient? Probably, but it’s not necessary. I’ve said for years that a reduction in the size of government would solve most of our nation’s woes. My biggest concern about Trump was that he was a big government guy, and the national debt has grown considerably under his watch. The past two months have blown it out of the water. As much good as he’s done, the debt will crush us eventually.

The government is largely unchecked and that’s going to be a major problem before very long.
