You know, I thought to myself why did he say “snow” skiing? Is there some other kind of skiing? And then I remembered water skiing and I was like oh, maybe outside mountain country people have to make the distinction.
Sorry for momentarily thinking you were a weirdo until I realized the weirdo is me.
Just scrolling through YouTube vids and saw this one that reminded me of the “Has Justine landed yet?” episode of Twitter. Looked it up, and it is just two days past the ten year anniversary of that event. Was that the first cancel culture mob?
Justice in California, even the robbers get robbed: It began when three masked and armed suspects robbed a check-cashing business in Commerce City, according to police. While they were inside, another suspect, not affiliated with the first three, allegedly stole their car. Spotting an opportunity, the alleged car thief runs out to the unlocked vehicle and gets inside. She drives off, leaving the masked bandits stranded. Authorities say two of those suspects, both juvenile boys, have been caught. (the video is on You Tube)
The outgoing governor of Louisiana has pardoned 56 inmates since October of this year, including dozens of convicted murderers.
With a staggering 1,094 people per 100,000 in some form of incarceration, Democratic Gov. John Bel Edwards has made reducing the state’s grossly over-populated prisons a top priority of his final term in office.
“For as long as I can remember, Louisiana reflexively responded to an increase in crime by putting more people in prison and keeping them there longer,” Edwards told Louisiana news outlet NOLA.com this week.
“We’ve never been made safer as a result of that,” Edwards said. “There is no data to suggest that an increase in crime here was because of the reforms.”
Others released by Edwards include inmates convicted of arson, robbery, and drug dealing. A total of 40 convicted murderers have been pardoned by Edwards in the past three months.
Released inmates had also been convicted of aggravated arson, possession of Schedule II narcotics, aggravated kidnapping, theft, first-degree robbery, perjury and armed robbery.
In December alone, Edwards pardoned five inmates convicted of first-degree murder and eleven convicted of second-degree murder.
So governor I have a question for you. If if incarcerating criminals isn’t reducing crime in your state…then how the hell is turning criminals loose, back into society, going to reduce crime??
Got my Christmas decorations up this year.

Very festive.
I’ve been snow skiing for 50+ years.
After this week in The Rockies, I’ve determined that all Snow Boarders are going to Hell … soon.

If true I hope they take a bicyclist under each arm with them when they do go.
I was looking through an observatory telescope and saw a huge sign on the moon that said:
ONLY YOU CAN PREVENT LUNAR FIRES
Fires? That’s a funny way of spelling “nuclear blasts.”
I must be pretty damn good at it.
Not even trying, really.
Imagine how few there would be if I had already known it was my job.

I prefer a more stable platform to pontificate from, but soap dispensers would make it easier to stay clean…
Perhaps “platform from which to pontificate” would be more grammatically correct.
Just sayin’
I’ve got some punctuation I’d like to share with you…
Ah! Thanks.
Slipping on the soap in Spain , will often cause much pain…
Just saw this and wanted to spread it
