I liked how they tried to push through a 40% pay increase because, and I kid you not, they were “Sufferring from the problems of inflation”. Really? At $174k a year you were sufferring? I would like to suffer so. My thoughts are that if you want a pay raise for every percentage point you get you have to decrease all the tax rates by the same percentage. And tax rates cannot be raised without a 2/3rds approval in both houses.
That package did have the stench of the previous admin’s Executive Odour.
