  1. Wednesday, also known as “hump day” by millions of working Americans. A day that is not as hated as Monday nor as beloved as Friday. For example I’ve never heard anyone say, “Thank God it’s Wednesday” yet they are glad to see Wednesday arrive as it means the work week is halfway over.

  2. It’s Davy Crockett’s birthday!! He was born in what was then South Carolina but is now Tennessee August 17, 1786. As we all know, he died at the Alamo. My favorite quote of his is, “I concluded my speech by telling them that I was done with politics for the present, and they might all go to hell, and I would go to Texas.” I think that FrankJ has said something similar.

  3. At first I was mad that Democrats were tearing down statues of Confederates but then it was pointed out that all the statues were of Democrats anyway. I felt a bit more ambivalent on the issue. Quick! On to West VIrginia and let us take down all those memorials and building names honoring a former Grand Kleagle!
