So he’s going to start cracking down on all the rape? Going to extend their prison sentences? Force them to get married?
That’s the good news. The bad news is that he considers Cuba and Iran civilized.
Well, obviously, the solution is to let everyone out of prison, problem solved.
I think he’s got that backwards, we shouldn’t toleration conditions in prison that give the illusion of a civilized country.
It’s not a damn country club. It’s a place to isolate the violent. There’s no reason to give them social time, a place to gather in crowds, a place to work out, a place to watch cable tv. Food, water, shelter, sanitary services, supervised contact with friends and family, through a barrier. Sorta like East Germany, the USSR, North Korea….
Prison should be punishment, not sanctuary.
