This is what truly bothers me about Trump/Hillary and his/her supporters.
They just wanted their own version of a Barack Obama.
Liberals, progressives, populists, socialists, nationalists, fascists, the alt-right (non-Conservative) right wing – they all have one thing in common. They don’t want a President. They want “their version” of a benevolent dictator.
Well, on the despicable alt-right racist, scumbag, hatemongering, xenophobic, jingoistic side, they got what they asked for. Time will tell to see how they like it. (I feel truly sorry for those roped into voting for him for fear of the alternative. What a sophie’s choice that was.)
I’ll spare you the profanity-laden thoughts I have toward such a mindset. Suffice to say, if I see a burning car with a Trump or Hillary sticker on the back, I feel little desire to save its driver. I used to think otherwise, but this election has harshly taught me that letting the aforementioned groups burn to death is probably a net gain for society.
