Your mission: answer the question in the comments with a good story.
If you don’t have a good story, you are encouraged to make one up.
What’s your best scar story?
The one I make up.
“That burn mark? Hand to hand combat with a crazed pirate in a blacksmith’s forge – just like in Pirates of the Caribbean! Certainly not from accidentally bumping into a uninsulated steam pipe”
Nickel beer nite, Dodger Stadium
I’m not saying it was aliens, but it was aliens.
.
“Mary Lou Moffat. She broke my heart!”
— Hooper, in Jaws
.
Wasn’t it in Fletch (I’m not going to copy and paste all the script’s quotes) that Chevy Chase had a running gag where he would tell a different story about his bandage depending on who was asking? That was funny, and a very good use of his comedic gift — portraying a guy who amuses the audience, by letting them in on the fact that he is lying with mock-seriousness. It’s what distinguished his character in Caddyshack.
.
A leg scar from a bicycle accident. But I’m not going to bore you with the details — which are pretty darn interesting. That’s my best scar story.
There i was…
I actually saw the video of Hillary Clinton saying “I ain’t noways tarred.”
Yes, I know.
You may have been scarred in the same way.

RESPONDANT: “Whew! I went through that, too. Glad to know that someone understands.”
OPPO: “Would it help if I said ‘I feel your pain’?”
RESPONDANT: “No! That would make it worse! Much worse!”
The scar I have going from just below the belly button almost all the way to the jewels (Intestinal surgery)
The day I stopped a small bit of dislodged tool steel with my cornea was remarkable. It left a discernable divot in my cornea after the ophthalmologist took a drill bit to it.. That was the most unique sensation… That same year my finger learned how sharp stainless steel shim stock can be. I look at the scar to remind me to be more careful, out of the other eye (mostly).
I always had jobs where I had to wear all kinds of safety equipment, safety glasses, hard hats, fire proof clothing, ear protection, etc. When I got home I turned into Superman when doing projects and never used them. Never got seriously hurt yet…I must really be Superman.
I have the bullet scar from when I didn’t dodge too well the sniper fire coming in when I visited Bosnia.
But you should see the other guy.
