Saturday Night Open Thread

In the 1970s, I appreciated some of the songs that Led Zeppelin did. I was far from their biggest fan, though. That’s not to take away anything from their talent, though. I remember playing “Whole Lotta Love” many times when I worked at the radio station.

At the time, I didn’t know how similar that song was to the Willie Dixon song that Muddy Waters recorded in the early ’60s, “You Need Love.”

I’m not saying Led Zeppelin ripped him off, but if you conclude Led Zeppelin ripped him off, I won’t argue your point.

Enough of what I’ve been thinking about. What’s on your mind? Got something you’d like to share? It’s Saturday Night Open Thread, and you have the floor.

Yeah, I know, it’s an hour. TL;DW

But dip a toe in… maybe bounce around it a little. The guy’s like the inverse of Al Gore, claiming the world is actually getting better, and backing it up with numbers.

I guarantee it’s worth a peep.

Also, less annoying to watch than any Star Wars movie made after 1980.

It’s being reported that both Apple and Facebook are still looking for ways to identify and eliminate “fake news” during the run-up to the 2018 midterms.

Well, here’s a good rule of thumb: if the news anchor reporting it is smiling, it’s fake.
