Welcome to the Saturday Night Hootenanny here at IMAO. Once again we have an array of artists some well known, others not so much. An interesting note, I actually saw one of these groups recently on my trip with an attendance of the Grand Ol’ Oprey. I’ll let you all guess which.
So, on with the show.
I like weird music night, here’s some from the 1960’s, so light up, relax, and drift away……………
Beautiful
It even had VW Bugs.
.
One question: Are you high right now, Fokker?
Those days are long gone…but I still like the music.
Last one, it’s from the 70’s……………
Ok one more, this song is normally associated with Jimi Hendrix. This is not Jimi, enjoy……………………….
It’s official: the 60s and 70s were a weird… weird time.
And I lived through ’em.
My main take-away from this video is — I wish James Dean had lived longer. He seemed to be a very interesting person.
Too fast to live, too young to die.
…and he said it all so clean.
Bye bye.
Otis is one talented guy. He’s got some great stuff out there.
I believe you saw the Obscuritones.
No.
One down and 7 to go. On to you Arlene.
(Adjusts blindfold) I believe you saw Rosie Flores.
Ooh so close. Did see her about 20 years ago or so.
2 down and 5 to go. On to you Orson Bean.
I know this Saturday Night Hootenanny is only a week old, but I already look forward to it.
Your taste in selections is excellent, Walrus, and provides a real festivity to Saturday nights.
(I just watched “Boogie Woogie Country Girl” again.)
God bless talented musicians…
Capitalism: Yay!
Hey guys, don’t waste future performers on me!
One more: you’ve probably never seen this version —
One of my favorites, thanks for making it, “unavailable”.
… it’s available to me… .
Hoarder.
