Police: Truck with 100 Monkeys Crashes, Some of Them Missing

Yahoo News | Fri, January 21, 2022

DANVILLE, Pa. (AP) — A truck carrying about 100 monkeys was involved in a crash Friday in Pennsylvania, state police said as authorities searched for at least three of the monkeys that appeared to have escaped the vehicle.

The truck carrying the animals crashed with a dump truck in the afternoon in Montour County, Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Andrea Pelachick told the Daily Item.

The truck had been on its way to a lab, Pelachick said.

Authorities have asked residents who might see the monkeys to call state police…

White House Report Card: When It’s So Bad Only a Margarita Can Help
Washington Examiner | 22 Jan 2022 | Paul Bedard

This week’s White House Report Card finds President Joe Biden and his agenda at the one-year anniversary dead in the water, his administration trying to clean up confusing messages on COVID-19 and Ukraine, inflation rising, the stock market tanking, and his polls sinking further.

His biggest failure was to win support for the House-passed election legislation in the Senate due to opposition from two key members of his own party.

It had White House press secretary Jen Psaki offering this unusual solution: “My advice to everyone out there who is frustrated, sad, angry, pissed off: Feel those emotions. Go to a kickboxing class. Have a margarita. Do whatever you need to do this weekend, and then, wake up on Monday morning. We’ve got to keep fighting.”

Blumenthal Claims He Was Unaware Event He Attended Had Communist Party Ties
Townhall.com | 12/17/2021 | Landon Mion

Sen. Richard Blumenthal said Friday that, had he known that the awards ceremony in which he gave remarks last weekend was linked to the Communist Party, he would not have attended.

He made an appearance at the Connecticut People’s World Committee Amistad Awards on Saturday to give three people special recognition certificates from the U.S. Senate. The CPWC is an affiliate of the Communist Party USA and the Marxist People’s World news site.

“My understanding was that this ceremony was strictly a labor event,” Blumenthal told the Hartford Courant. “If I had known the details, I wouldn’t have gone. … Let me just say very emphatically, I’m a Democrat and a strong believer in American capitalism. I have been consistently a Democrat and a strong supporter and believer in American capitalism.”

“Make it so.”
