Why Would Biden Possibly Want To Sit Down?

Gateway Pundit | May 23, 2024 | Anthony Scott

President Trump, in his latest appearance on the “Cats & Cosby Show,” revealed Biden requested a chair for their upcoming debate.

Trump told the hosts of the Cats & Cosby Show, “I hear now we’re sitting at tables. I don’t want to sit at a table.”

“I said, ‘No, let’s stand.’ But they want to sit at a table,” added Trump.

What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

Self-Balancing Motorcycles

During the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Honda pulled back the curtain on its “Riding Assist Technology.” The demonstration showed a rider standing tall on a Honda bike, both feet on the foot pegs, and arms fully stretched while Honda’s Rider Assist Technology kept the bike from tipping over.

The prototype borrowed from Honda’s UNI-CUB personal mobility device. Skirting some of the heavier technology that other self-balancing motorcycle concepts used, the Honda Riding Assist Motorcycle keeps itself upright without gyroscopes. It was impressive to see in 2017 and remains so years later. However, since CES 2017, other manufacturers have stepped forward with their own self-balancing motorcycle concepts, each one tweaking how they keep rides from toppling over.

What’s Walrus Building?

A big bar tab. We had a small setback this week as one of our contractors had a small accident. Nothing serious but we lost a day of work on the house so we may be a tad behind although my co-owner did move in this week and is starting the unpacking process. I’m moving in 5 days and I’m like 97% packed. Should be done over the weekend and I’m going to be going back and forth over the next few days. Still on schedule to come out of the dark on the 31st.

On a more historical note Cobi had a sale so I’ve ordered about 5 pieces to go with the two I already have so there will be lots of builds for me once I settle in. Only downer note is that the IJN Akagi arrival has been pushed back to July. I pray it will not be pushed back further.

Captain Kirk weighs in (ignore the inelegant word “than”):

The FBI received specific instructions that they were authorized to “engage” Trump or his security detail if necessary. IOW, they were authorized to kill.

1. The FBI was empowered to used deadly force when raiding Mar-A-Lago.

2. The FBI’s response to the news was, “it’s no big deal….we are empowered to open fire ALL THE TIME.”

3. The FBI thought #2 would fix #1.

The Secret Service now has a major decision to make:

One of their responsibilities is to keep known threats to the President far away from him.

Now the FBI has openly declared that they’re a threat.

Jump Scares Reporters

Joe Biden on Thursday held a joint press conference with President William Ruto of Kenya in the East Room.

….

The greeting ceremony on the South Lawn earlier Thursday was a disaster. Biden struggled with simple directions and could barely walk.

The joint presser was also a mess.

Biden called on a list of pre-approved reporters and got confused: “Do I ask the next question, as well?

A reporter asked Joe Biden a question about Haiti.

Biden forgot the reporter’s question right after she asked it.

Another reporter was forced to repeat her question. Biden read his entire answer from pre-written notes in his binder!

At the end of the presser, weirdo Biden jumped and shouted “WHOA!”

He was asked a question and then proceeded by reading the
entire answer.

Gee, it’s almost as if they knew the question in advance
and had written down the answer for him.

Two-thirds of unemployment benefit recipients in Germany are migrants as cost to taxpayer skyrockets by 122% since 2010
Remix | May 21, 2024 | Thomas Brooke

To be honest, I don’t know if “Remix” is a legitimate news source. But if they are, this sucks.

In several German states including Hesse, Baden-Württemberg, and Hamburg, around three-quarters of benefit claimants are either first- or second-generation migrants, suggesting that mass immigration of low-skilled workers is not a net benefit to Europe’s largest economy..

Nearly two-thirds of German residents receiving unemployment benefits have a migration background, new figures from the Federal Employment Agency have revealed.

The statistics published by the federal agency and cited by the Die Welt broadsheet showed that 63.1 percent of those in receipt of the so-called citizen’s income,

— that’s because they’re not citizens, they’re serfs —

or “Bürgergeld,” are of migrant origin, and “most do not have a German passport.”

The German newspaper explained that while employment figures are increasing year-over-year, “because the Federal Republic has long allowed very high immigration of low-skilled people, the number of migrants who are unemployed and receiving social benefits is also increasing.”

Has a familiar ring.

The figures define “migration background” as anyone who themselves or whose parents were born without German citizenship, i.e., first- and second-generation migrants.

… There exists a strong correlation between the rise in the migrant population and the percentage of welfare benefits going to migrants, giving weight to the argument that mass immigration of low-skilled workers is not a net benefit to Europe’s largest economy.

… The cost to the taxpayer has skyrocketed since 2010, with a 122 percent increase on the €6.9 billion bill then to around €15.4 billion a year today.

Springer said at the time that Germany desperately needed to implement “a restrictive immigration policy that effectively prevents immigration into our social systems. The citizens’ income introduced by the federal government, on the other hand, acts like an immigration magnet.”

New word: Lebenstraum.

OK, That’s It. So Let’s Stop Pretending.

The international system has broken down.

Any country can now arrest the leader of any country for any reason.

Should make future U.N. meetings fun.

And Trump is demonized for standing up for nationalism?

White House Hosts Fourth Annual Vesak Celebration
Religion News Service | May 23, 2024 | Jack Jenkins

(RNS) — The White House will play host to a Vesak ceremony on Thursday afternoon (May 23), the fourth time President Joe Biden’s administration has marked the annual Buddhist holiday celebrating the Buddha’s birth, death and enlightenment.

Second gentleman Douglas Emhoff will once again host the ceremony commemorating the holiday, which had never been celebrated by the White House until Biden came into office in 2021. According to a White House official, the event, which coincides with the full moon, will include the lighting of lamps and feature ambassadors and representatives from the embassies of Nepal, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Mongolia and Laos.

“We are very grateful to the Second Gentleman for his leadership and vision for our communities in hosting the fourth ever Vesak ceremony at the White House — this is a tradition that he established in the very first year of our first term to celebrate the most sacred day for Buddhists in America and around the world,” Erika Moritsugu, deputy assistant to the president and Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander senior liaison, said in a statement.

“As President Biden has said: ‘Vesak is a time to reflect on the Buddha’s teachings, including the need to work for peace and justice, and cultivate humility and compassion as we work together towards a brighter future.’ Lord Buddha’s lessons of harmony and care are timeless, and reminder every day of what we can do to advance our common values.”

As in the past, the event will take place at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building and is part of a partnership with the International Buddhist Association of America. Wangmo Dixey, IBAA’s executive director, told Religion News Service this year’s celebration will again include leaders from Theravada, Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhist traditions, as well as young lay Buddhist leaders from the Tibetan American and Khmer Krom communities.

According to Pew Research, Buddhists make up around 1.2% of the U.S. population as of 2010.

That should bring in the votes.
