  1. Why are blackberries red when they’re green?

BTW: I can type just fine. But the voice recognition software is terrible. The only words it seems to know are “meow”, “growl”, “hiss”, and “spit”.

  2. Why do the people who hear dog whistles not realize they are dogs?

Why are accusations of wrongdoing so often the obvious projections of the accuser’s own behavior?

Why are a people that profess to love democracy so dead set on ceding their autonomy to a distant centralized authority?

  3. … are there terms for the informal, frequently-shifting alliances of ideologues & self-interested groups of individuals who, though often disagreeing with others in their alliance, usually support them on the grounds that members of the opposing alliance (practical concerns with organizing people into groups that can accomplish things mean there’s very rarely more than two; humans being individuals mean there’s very rarely less than two) will be “worse” — whether due to having “worse” objectives, or simply being more likely to achieve “bad” objectives (with “bad” and “worse” being the estimations of the individual deciding which faction to support, and not necessarily an objective evaluation)?

Specifically, are there terms for these that also are clearly distinct from the terms for the various philosophies/interests that make up the cohorts of the alliances, especially persisting even after people and organizations splinter off and/or join the opposing side?

… wait, this is the humor site, right? Dangit.
