We have racoons here in Northeast Texas. They don’t bother us much because if they get in the back yard the German Shepherd gets them. If they get in the front it only takes a .22 Long Rifle hollowpoint and then they get tossed to the German shepherd.
If I get hungry enough no racoon for the poor old German Shepherd.
And the really sinister thing is those buggers know how to befriend and con all the cats!

In Los Angeles we’ve had the same problem for years except instead of raccoons it’s homeless people digging through the trash. Very creepy.
