Fun Trivia

What torture did Hitler use against his most hated dissidents?

He’d have someone hold the person down while he repeatedly slapped the person’s belly while shouting, “Pink belly! Pink belly!”
I should remind you that the belly slap is one of the torture techniques the CIA is requesting to use. Are you comfortable with CIA agents being as bad as Hitler? What if those agents also grew mutton chops; would you approve of that? I know it’s neither here nor there, but I don’t think our CIA agents should be allowed to have mutton chops.

  1. I have to agree about the mutton chops. They make one’s face look jowly, and is more likely to inspire amusement or rage than fear.
I favor the technique used by troops guarding Saddam. Looping the South Park movie for the detainee’s enjoyment, 24-7.
You also have the odl standards, the politically correct Indian burn, and of course, noogies–not the gentle ones I gave my kids when they were little, but the brutal ones my uncle used to give me. He had knuckles that would drop a mountain lion. My scalp would bleed, my screams could be heard thoughout Granma’s house…stop! It hurts! Uncle Tommy!
    …I better go now.

  2. Frank, If we allow the government to torture one group of people, no matter what they are, they believe they have the right to torture anyone who is labled as a terrorist, thus making it easier to torture innocent people, by simply labeling them terrorists. If they begin torturing a small group of people, that group will broaden gradually, and it will be practiced upon good citizens like you and I. How would you like to be tortured for your commentaries? Im sure someone as learned as you would not just bow down and lick the shoes of someone as intelligent as our dear old president, George Bush. Many years down the road, something like that could be seen as “dissent”, and therefore classified along with terrorism. The point is, terrorists cannot take away our freedoms, it is our governments and rulers that have the power to do that.

  3. Oh, come on. You never conceived of the awesome power of the ‘stache before John Bolton demonstrated it, either. Admit it, men’s fashion is not your forte (we’ve seen lots of pictures of you, remember). Ask SarahK about mutton chops. And admit that they’d do wonders for Newt Gingrich’s campaign.

  4. Yes, sometimes the Nazis would force victims to listen to music played on piano wire, even compelling them to participate in violent Bavarian tradesman dances. The most obstinate prisoners were used as targets in goosestepping practice, which not only caused great posterior pain but had the positive effect of shining the jackboots if a chamois were first inserted.

  5. I’m not sure if Jarusalam Izreal is saying that just in case the Feds might go too far (which makes me wonder what he/she/it thought about Janet Reno’s storm troopers), we should be nice to terrorists.
What do they call that – appeasement or just plain stupidity?
Mutton chops? Nah … lamp chops … whack them upside the head with lamb chops. Or, better yet, pork chops. Chop chop!
They’ll start to fear mutton chops as much as they do the ‘stache. And pink bellies!
