Lieberman has gained a 17 point lead in a recent poll, which just underscores how much the nutroots need to redouble their efforts to defeat Lieberman and get that guy… uh… not-Lieberman to win. Do I have to remind you how this is the most important election ever ever for the Democrats? Forget everything else and give all your time and money to defeat Lieberman! No other race matters! Lieberman once kissed George W. Bush! What a homo! He must be stopped!
I once spoke with a Democrat friend of mine about this, and the utter hypocrisy was staggering. I made the point that it is quite intolerant for the Democratic Party to oust Lieberman simply because he disagrees with the rest of the Democrats on the Iraq War, but my friend said that Lieberman must be expelled for two reasons:
1. He was part of some group (I think) that sought to bring the Democratic Party into the middle, thereby watering down its appeal and stances, and
2. Most importantly, Lieberman is part of the neo-con conspiracy, which is the greatest threat to America.
So it means they have to kick him out, even though it’s intolerant and all that. (And he still maintains without any hint of hesitation that the Democratic Party is tolerant and open-minded and all that.)
Heh.
Kos is optomistic about the other guy, so that other guy is dead in the water.
With enemies like these, who needs friends…
The Nutroots are concentrating, and this is the result. If they were not trying so hard to “purify” their party, they would not be frightening so many voters away from their stand.

Republicans are being urged by the dems to support the Republican guy whose name escapes me. That’ll work, I’m sure.
Every Republican in New Hampshire will vote for Lieberman, even though he’s pledged to remain democrat. Maybe it has something to do with that whole “character” thing. Jeez, Repubs will fall for anything.

Independent voters in Connecticut have the tradition — a Republican candidate for a city mayor defeated in the primary ended up winning the mayorship.
Republicans can laugh without looking like idiots ONLY after THIS seat goes to
you guys and helps you guys win the majority in the Senate.
Probably I am wrong if Senator Lieberman gets cozier with you guys than the Democrats. Dig it if you have brain !

I thought it was the President that kissed Liberman not the other way around.
Anyway I love the idea of Liberman winning this and just showing that the country will rally around people that stand for what is right and not for what is popular.
Liberman is a true Democrat. And yeah thanks to him I am still proud to call my self one as well.
