Excellent mash-up. Whoever did it must have access to some (at least) semi-serious studio equipment, not to mention access to separate pro tracks of both songs. Tempo and pitch changes not only overall but every 4, 2, and single measure of beat. Lotta long work went into that.
Reminds me of the time I realized the opening theme of House would blend perfectly with the melody of the Beatles’ “A Day In The Life” (right after Paul finishes the line, “Somebody spoke and I went into a dream”, and John starts singing “Aaaaah” and the orchestra builds up). Even the beat is spot on.
If Astley is gonna’ be the new front man, I hope they still have the shotgun. “Weird” Al’s version is way better, more fire, more farm animals; that’s what’s missing in music today.
One of the few great memories I had in high school was sneaking out of the house and making out with a much older college chick at a Nirvana concert. Thanks for ruining Nirvana for me. It was funny though.
That seems an improvement in both songwriting and singing… now all they need is a new guitarist.
Kids these days.
Although, I must admit, I find this version to be much, much, much better than the original.
I still prefer Yankovic’s version, however.
I prefer Brian Griffin’s version of that song.
Rick Rolling Kurt Cobain. I love it!

Corona if you ever do that again I will vote you off the island. Yankovic’s version definitly the best.
Synth-Pop + Any kind of Hard Rock = Awesome
It’s pretty much the best kind of music in existence.

Reminds me of when Curt said “Don’t laugh, you’re next” and pulled the trigger. Lucky bastard didn’t have to suffer through that.
