President Obama issued an executive order to create supercomputers that are 100 times faster.
Seems like a waste of time. What his administration really needs is an uncrashable hard drive.

I build supercomputers for a living including several for the government.
You know what DOESN’T make them any faster? Executive orders. *I* built that. Nobody else made that happen. You don’t just wish these things into existence.
Oh, c’mon, blarg. We all know that you won’t build a 100X faster computer just because Obama is black. I bet you’d build one 10 gazillion times faster if he were white.
you know what happens after some government moron mandates something that’s completely ridiculous? they change the definition of the measurement to comply with the mandate.
several government supercomputer facilities have already announced that they will not run LINPACK (the definitive benchmarking tool for supercomputing) on their systems anymore because they feel that the results are “not representative of the system’s true strength”.
Now…I’m not saying they don’t have a valid point, but is it a coincidence that Hussein Al-Barak (peace be upon him) pukes up these mandates right after this happens?
… It’s like the way they say the unemployment rate is changing, and then redefine how the unemployment rate is determined;
… or say the cost of living is going up or down, after redefining it (.e., not including the cost of fuel);
… or say entitlement spending is changing, after redefining what entitlements are;
… or say the deficit has dropped, if you remove Social Security spending from it;
… or say that temperatures are increasing, after applying a ‘correction’ downward to old raw data and a ‘correction’ upward to current raw data;
… or say that Obamacare will cover essential treatments, followed by new recommendations that women do not need to get breast exams every year any more;
… and on and on.
Government Spent Billions on Green Upgrades with no Proof that They Saved Energy
National Review | 06/16/2015 | by JILLIAN KAY MELCHIOR
The federal government spent more than $4.28 billion in stimulus money on green upgrades to public buildings — but today, it has no idea if those huge expenditures actually made the facilities any more energy efficient. “I don’t have the data to say that,” says Nick Goco, the General Services Administration’s deputy assistant inspector general for real-property audit. “To date, the system being used to evaluate the Recovery Act projects has not been fully populated with the data needed to evaluate the project. . . . We don’t know,” he says.

Those executive orders are an office joke.
@1 – Obama is like the rooster who thinks the sun rises because he crowed
He should now devote his attention to ordering:
* batteries that are 100 times more efficient
* police cars that can respond to crime 100 times more quickly
* bullets that travel 100 times faster
* clothes that last 100 times longer
* farms that are 100 times more productive

how about people that are 100 times smarter?

There’s already a law about computer speeds called “Moore’s Law”.
Obama is so full of self importance.

Neil De Guys ,or whatever his name is, must be Obama’s adviser. “Just build an unhackable computer, dah.”
And Obama spaketh. and he commandeth the seas and tides to recede 100x faster. And the Earth did tremble, and the tides recedeth.
Book of Obama Chapter 5 verse 7.
So it has been written…so let it be done. ~ Barak The Great, Pharaoh of all the Americas.
Well, if they’re 100 times faster, then they just spill their guts faster when hacked.
Just ask the IRS.
Just ask the Pentagon.
Just ask the U.S. Office of Personnel Management…
How about a Federal Government whose networks are 100 times LESS hackable, Misssssster Obama?
We’re already pushing maximum theoretical speeds.
