Seems like there were always tons of one-hit wonders in the 60s through the 80s (my era) — is that still a thing? Very annoying acts seem to have an awful lot of staying power. But I’ve never been a top-40s guy.

Interesting trivia fact: Tony Burrows, the lead singer on that record, was also the lead singer for a number of other one-hit wonders around the same period of time! In addition to Edison Lighthouse – Love Grows Where My Rosemary Goes, Burrows sang lead vocals on First Class – Beach Baby; White Plains – My Baby Loves Lovin’; The Pipkins – Gimme Dat Ding & Brotherhood of Man – United We Stand.
