The media is trying really hard to talk down the economy before the election aren’t they?
I think having the virus contained and not spreading in the general population is actually making it more scary as most people don’t have firsthand experience with it.
In reality for most of us it’s a mild flu (which isn’t any fun) for which a vaccine has already been developed and there are now more people who have recovered from it than there are people who are sick.
Although I’m glad that it appears to have been responsible for getting a trade show in Vegas canceled that I was really not looking forward to as I hate Vegas.
United Airlines was nice enough to send me 2 emails – one to let me know that there’s really nothing they can do about the virus that they weren’t already doing and a second one stating that although they understand the virus is impacting travel plans, they have no intention of changing any of their premiere status requirements so if I want to keep my premiere status I better get cracking and book some travel.

(b) Or, not already accomplished? (my normally smart, thoughtful, well reasoned youngest brother, is simply SEETHING with TrumpRage. Evidently, it’s entirely EEBIL! Orange Man’s fault that coronavirus exists, and that America’s response is so fracked up. )
He ignores the fact that, 120 days ago, it was a curiosity in Wuhan, wherever that is, and we were assured by All The Smartest People, that it would stay there.
Now, we have test kits and some sort of a plan. Anybody here, EVER, hear of Da Gooberment acting that quickly? Or, for that matter, developing, validating, and then producing thousands of test kits, in 90 days? Hell, it takes 8 GD months to get a federal permit fro a freaking suppressor, and that process has been in place for approaching a hundred years!
