A Davidson professor bemoans the state of his classroom:
Today’s students are … not accustomed to sitting through 50-minute lectures, taking detailed notes of material and techniques, the value of which has yet to be demonstrated to them.
I thought that was the definition of college. If not, then what the hell was I doing there all those years?

Yet the persist to demand material and techniques that are demonstrably failures.
Colleges are simply anarchist/ atheist camps that follow the 12 years of “free” childcare and indoctrination centers for the masses. You expected them to know HOW to think, instead of WHAT to think. Where have you been?
They tried to make me pronounce Basil as “Basil.”
Me and my wife were born in the late 50s and met at UCLA in the late 70s. Our sons were born in the 80s in California, which was our home state. We ended up moving to Northern VA in 96 due to business. We quickly found the schools were poor, we had issues with teachers, admin, and the school board. We have moved south since our sons graduated and understand the school system has gotten worse.
Me and my wife ended up tutoring our sons through their classes. My sons both finished in early 2000s. Both decided not to go to college and chose different Trade Schools. This worked out well as the cost was less then half a year of college, which they paid. They now make around 6 figures per year, have houses, cars, good bank accounts, and one has a family.
My youngest, who is not married but dates says he finds many college educated women look down on him since he has not gone to college even though he earns much more than they do, and is highly trained. He finds many other women not smart as they are in low paying jobs and are doing nothing to increase themselves.
