Fangbeer and Gene got really smart last week, and so did Walrus.
Fangbeer and Walrus posted really smart videos about electronics and dialecticism.
Here’s your chance to even out the average.

All that electrical talk is just PFM. What I hear is a cry to discuss pnuematics, hydraulics, linkages, and all the cool mechanical stuff that they comprise, but also on a less nerdy level.
Anybody ever listen to Sabaton? I bet others here would find them interesting. I’ve spent a few afternoons learning some cool stories after hearing some of their songs.
Just looked it up. Yep, he was, though he died of a (brace yourselves, this is going to be quite a shock) heroin overdose. Apparently his on stage antics made Gwar seem like the Vienna Boys Choir.
Ok..time to drag this out of the gutter and down into the sewer…yesterday I had the hugest, longest, private moment of my life…I was checking the local paper today to see if there was a birth announcement mentioning a weight…
Ok..ok..I can show myself out..no need to get pushy..
“Here’s your chance to even out the average.” I took this to mean you wanted a low starting point for the bell curve to rise up from..trying to help out here..maybe see you all on the other side of the curve…
Always RED FRIDAY up here..you always have to wear something Red to Remember Everyone Deployed, in our Armed Forces, away from friends and family, keeping us safe from nefarious b**turds…
Used to be buddies with the guy across the street. 70 acres of farm with about a half an acre of apple trees that he didn’t really have an interest in up keeping. He let me have all I could take.
I built a scratter and a press, threw the cider in a couple of carboys and made about 20 gallons of hard cider.
Finished it all before Thanksgiving. Though I did put about 5 gallons in the freezer to make apple jack.
“It took all the loads
And all the dirt roads
It took my old dog for a ride:
It never tapped out
And it never crapped out
And had more holes than Bonnie and Clyde.”
“Now, I suppose it could’ve been a Chevy
But a Ford was all I could afford
But I can’t drive the all-electric version
‘Cause I don’t have a long enough cord.”
Over six hundred thousand miles
And six hundred thousand smiles
There are some nuts that we’ve both left behind;
But it’s got one more exit
And whoever gets it
I hope they are treating it kind.
There once was a fellow from Deere
Who said to the farmers “Lookee here!
You got to be tryin’
This lithium ion
It’s the most manly thing since Bud Light beer!”
Woke up this morning and saw that the Wagner Group is advancing toward Moscow. What if they win and change the name of the country from Russia to Wagner? That would be awesome! The Wagner Republic!

Ever listen to gg allin?
Is he the guy who claimed he was going to kill himself onstage back in the eighties and nineties? Or am I thinking of somebody else?
Not sure but it sounds like something he would have done. He died in the 90’s of something else, was a crazy punk rocker..and I mean crazy.

Yes, that’s exactly what I meant, but eww. I feel sorry for your aquifer.
Hey, it’s Friday. Anyone else notice?
So what are you frying?
Retired guys don’t necessarily notice things like that.
Always RED FRIDAY up here..you always have to wear something Red to Remember Everyone Deployed, in our Armed Forces, away from friends and family, keeping us safe from nefarious b**turds…
Is that for real? That is a touching and praiseworthy tradition. Better than our once-a-year remembrance.
Going 14 to 15 years here….True Canadian Fact…
Go, Canada!
Employees at the PX on Army and Air Force based have been doing that since we got into Afghanistan, too.
Project of the week was a 90 year old clock for a birthday present.
Took the whole movement apart and got it back together. It even ran afterwards. Bing bong and all.
Made a new key out of some brass rod and sheet metal.

Why are you so much cooler than me?
If I’m ever stuck on a submersible, I want you along.
My project for the week was to finish all the alcohol in the house. Have not succeeded.
I’m real good are starting to drink.
No so great at stopping.
Been dry for about 5 years now.
That’s why you can fix a clock, not run one out.
Fangbeer and Oppo…I’ve probably spilled more than both of you will ever drink…Day 566..but whos counting…cheers..
One more pic, this one from the past.

With the rise of self-driving trucks it’s only a matter of time before there’s a country song about a truck leaving a cowboy.
Oh, now that’s good!
🎵
My old truck done gone and left me
Bereft me of all it could haul
The bed’s gonna be lonely and empty
And its trailer hitch a bitch and a ball.
🎵
Perfect…in C major.
[imagine Willie Nelson’s voice:]
“It took all the loads
And all the dirt roads
It took my old dog for a ride:
It never tapped out
And it never crapped out
And had more holes than Bonnie and Clyde.”
Try it in “D”…for drive..if it barely moves, the tire B flat..
“Now, I suppose it could’ve been a Chevy

But I can’t drive the all-electric version
‘Cause I don’t have a long enough cord.”

With all the automation in modern farm equipment it’s already a thing. Big battle ongoing with Deere for right to repair.
All the tobacco farmers around me all drive 100 year old Farmalls because the new stuff costs more than the farm and only lasts a few seasons.
There once was a fellow from Deere
Who said to the farmers “Lookee here!
You got to be tryin’
This lithium ion
It’s the most manly thing since Bud Light beer!”
The farmer just looked back and said
You gotta be touched in the head
If I tilled a row
With your dirty hoe
My wallet would be drained till it bled.
