  1. Blame it all on the roots, but Mom was in cahoots,
And told him to just stand right there,
The last one to know, when he felt the blow
It was the last time he’d ever draw air,
And I saw the surprise and the oh crap look in his eyes,
When we left him pinned down in the rain,
And I toasted Mom, said finally he’s gone,
You, said, “Honey, we may be through
But you’ll never hear me complain”
‘Cause I’ve got insurance in lotsa places
Where the double indemnity and the ADorD,
    chases my blues away
    And we’ll be OK
Yeah, I’m not big on doing fake cryin,
Just gotta think of what we’ll be buyin
Oh, I’ve got insurance in lotsa places…

    With apologies to Garth Brooks…
