Devin Faraci can be pretty annoying, but he gets this one exactly right. The term “bullying” is now essentially meaningless, since it just applies to everything. If Kim Kardashaion can say she’s being bullied because people notice she’s packed on a little pregnancy weight, it might be time to retire the word completely.
As the saying goes, if everything’s bullying then nothing’s bullying. Bullying is simply the new Godwin’s Law now.
I figured that one out already. Being bullied now means, “I’m not get my way.”

The term “bullying” is starting to take on the same connotation and is as over used and now almost as meaningless as the term “sexual harassment” or the term “racist”.
bullying was a trivialization of intimidation. it is long past its sell by date. it is one of those terms that, by over extention, was supposed to make things worse than they are, like “abuse”, but instead made things simultaneously worse and trivial because “bully” was always a childhood, not criminal, term. further confused by the fact that once bully meant “superb” as in “bully pulpit” (Roosevelt famously used the word bully as an adjective meaning “superb” or “wonderful”, a more common usage in his time than it is today.) sort of like “gay” once meant something different.

Once an advocate is created to right a wrong he must continue to find wrongs to right or he’s out of a job. Hence the nit picking and race to the bottom for any thing that can remotely be labelled bullying, harassment or racism.
