As someone who lives near Seattle, I can tell you this satire is not very far off the mark.
I’ve always thought the left should be happy about the way the Native Americans were treated. They had way too much land and refused to share it with the poor pioneers who had none. A classic example of take from the rich and give to the poor. Obviously the government had to step in.
So, with respect to Seattle, “Indigenous Peoples’ Day” implies you were born there and still live there.
I was born there but glad to say I don’t live there anymore.
The place is getting really stupid.
