  1. I don’t recall 1975 as being particularly violent, after Saigon fell I mean, although the Lebanese Civil War had begun. (I had to look it up.) See here for a summary of 2014 (“More Hype But Fewer Dead”).

    He might be right, but I’m neither Lebanese nor Ukrainian.

  2. 40 years ago, Gerald Ford wasn’t trying to give nukes to our biggest enemy(they had thousands) and we weren’t letting in millions of Russians without even checking to see if maybe they were out to kill us…among many other things.
