Hot Air looks different, and I don’t like it. It’s a conservative site — don’t they know we hate change?

Got an e-mail from Howard Dean making it clear he is not supporting Crist. I was not assuming anyone was supporting Crist.

Oil spill is why we shouldn’t drill locally. Messes like this should only happen in third world countries we don’t care about.

Are we human or are we dancer? I thought dancers were a subset of humans, so the question confuses me.

Barack Obama doesn’t care about black viscous liquids.

I think I should note that everyone who disagrees with me on issues disagrees with me for the same reasons Nazis would.

So what was the Nazis’ stance on illegal immigration? Was that a huge problem for them? I tried googling “Nazis” and “illegal immigration”, but that just brought up lots of links about the AZ law. Kinda circular.

Anyway, my conclusion is thus: If you think a place is just like Nazi Germany, don’t try to sneak in there.

Maybe I’m just grizzled, but if it’s found out that Obama is having an affair, I wouldn’t find that particularly surprising or interesting.

My dad after seeing S. E. Cupp on Huckabee: “She doesn’t look like an atheist.”

They finally fixed Hot Air so you can click on the logo to refresh the page. Some reason the logo being non-clickable on a website annoys me.

I guess some people are under the impression it’s possible to run a modern country without oil. Not yet.

We need to put the slider to 100% on science research and wait 9 turns and then we’ll discover cold fusion technology.

Note to DVD remote makers: The pause button should be one of the most prominent buttons on the remote. You should not have to search for it.

  1. I tried Googling “Nazis” and “illegal immigration” and found a picture of Louvain, Belgium burning and a picture of a Ranger standing next to a gun emplacement at Pointe du Hoc.

Oil spill is why we shouldn’t drill locally. Messes like this should only happen in third world countries we don’t care about.

At least this episode could lead to a cool documentary series from the producers of Deadliest Catch.

Anyway, my conclusion is thus: If you think a place is just like Nazi Germany, don’t try to sneak in there.

Might I suggest a bumper sticker?

I guess some people are under the impression it’s possible to run a modern country without oil. Not yet.

It’s not as though oil goes into more than just gasoline. Oh, darnit, oil does go into more than just gasoline.

And so, seeing as how nuclear power is evil for unexplained reasons and seeing as how “green” energy is a crock, perhaps we could solve our issue by breaking an unwritten law set down by farmers considerably wiser than most men; never burn what you eat. Especially not when what you eat has worse emissions.

P.S. it wasn’t murder, it was suicide.

  2. “Maybe I’m just grizzled, but if it’s found out that Obama is having an affair, I wouldn’t find that particularly surprising or interesting.”

I’m with you, Frank. Except I would find Michelle’s reaction very, very interesting. Like Hans Solo said in the first Star Wars movie, “you don’t want to make a Wookie mad.” You think she’ll pull his arms off or what?

  3. So out of curiosity, being a horrible Alpha Centauri addict — are you playing AC or merely Civ when you “put the slider to 100% science research” ? I guess that answers itself since AC has 100% labs — anyway, are you sure that our social choices give us enough “efficiency” to do that? I don’t know about Civ, but in Alpha Centauri, even with Democracy, when you’re running *cough* planned economics, the “efficiency” penalty is so bad that the research rates plummet if you get too far from 50% just from energy lost to corruption. Try setting the social choices to “Democracy” “Free Market” rather than “Democracy” “Planned” and then you’ll get your Fusion tech in a reasonable number of turns.

  4. Got an e-mail from Howard Dean making it clear he is not supporting Crist.

    Ha! He fooled you!

The best way for Howard Dean to support a candidate is to say that he doesn’t support him.

  5. and it should UNpause if you hit it a second time, you shouldn’t have to search for a different button to play.

I always have to click on the logo to go to the main page, because I get here from the RSS feed on my Yahoo and most of the time, the title is not a link, so I have to go to a story first and then get to the main page from there. And about half the time my browser needs to be closed and restarted afterward.

  6. “Are we human or are we dancer? I thought dancers were a subset of humans, so the question confuses me.”

The question remains unanswered, however, you get an additional 10 points for using a “Killers” reference.

  7. “Maybe I’m just grizzled, but if it’s found out that Obama is having an affair, I wouldn’t find that particularly surprising or interesting.”

It’s the mental anguish that leftist media are now forced to go through as they try to find ways to bury the story of their Messiah cheating that gets fun.

  8. The possability that the president can be blackmailed (ooo..racist word!) over an affair or two or three is not a national security issue. No sir No way. National security is never an issue with this administration. Another classy democrat.

Does this mean the taxpayers have to pick up the bill again for a new oval office rug?

Nazi Germans designed the DVD remote.

  9. Sorm, you are wrong. It was the eeeviiilll teabaggers that designed the rmote.

Nope can’t picture that one having an affair, at least mot with a human, so would it count?

  10. Hot Air looks different, and I don’t like it. It’s a conservative site — don’t they know we hate change?

As Red Letter Media would say, “I don’t like things that are different.”

  11. “Note to DVD remote makers: The pause button should be one of the most prominent buttons on the remote. You should not have to search for it.”

I want my remote to have a prominent button marked “Kill All Your Enemies, Now.” I already know where the pause button is on my DVD player’s remote, but that “Kill All Your Enemies, Now” button continues to elude me.

By now some of you are chuckling to yourselves “Proud Infidel, you dolt, DVD remotes don’t have a Kill All Your Enemies, Now button.” And that, my firends, is what’s wrong with this country…

  12. So what was the Nazis’ stance on illegal immigration? Was that a huge problem for them? I tried googling “Nazis” and “illegal immigration”, but that just brought up lots of links about the AZ law. Kinda circular.

Well, we’ve established that even Hitler wasn’t Hitler. Truth is, he wasn’t German either. He was Austrian. So I guess the gerries were pretty easy going on immigrants if they let one become Führer.

Then again, who’s complaining? We elected Obama without seeing his papers.

Note to DVD remote makers: The pause button should be one of the most prominent buttons on the remote. You should not have to search for it.

Note to DVD/TV/DVR buyers: insist in seeing the remote before you buy it. You will sit in front of the DVD/TV/DVR for maybe a trillion hours; however, the remote will sit in your hand for mebbe a trillion minus five hours. Check it out. The remote is the interface to your electronic friend. Like a friend, it has the potential to annoy you until you get rid of your DVD/TV/DVR.

-Why are people always hitting each other and putting guns in their faces on TV, This has become a staple of like every TV and Movie since 9/11. It gets annoying. The wife and I have started making fun of when it happens. So I say funny lines for them but in a serious/grizzled voice. (like Job Bluth or Arek Bardwin on 30 Rock)

-“where is the last gummy worm”
-“did you take my stuffed bear “Rainbow””
-“do you want fries or curly fries”
-“Before you die tell me….how do I make that dancing paper clip go away from Microsoft Word”
